Singapore and Vietnam, Day One.

We had a stop over in Singapore on our way to Vietnam. I'm not sure if this is a photo of the actual plane we flew in, but we did fly with Singapore Airlines. The flight was ok. There was some guy snoring a couple of rows in front of us so that was pretty annoying. We got fed a couple of times and played a few games on their computers even if they weren't that good. I think I even managed an hour or two of sleep. Singapore is a pretty huge airport. We played a few games on the Xboxes, dtra sent a postcard to his work, and we sat outside for a bit. It was so hot and steamy outside, I couldn’t believe it. There was also a lot of pollution.

Arriving in Vietnam was pretty crazy, the minute we stepped out of the airport we saw a car accident. Actually a bus hit a 4 wheel drive and ripped the front bumper off. We were mobbed by taxi drivers all wanting to take us to our hotel. Luckily Geckos had organised airport transfers for us so we just got in the bus waiting for us and it took us to our hotel. I think I was in a bit of shock at the number of bikes everywhere. I wish I had got a photo but they were everywhere. There didn't seem to be many road rules either.

When we got the hotel, dtra rang his cousin and he came over to visit us. He didn't speak any English so it would be up to dtra to do the translating for us. This could get a bit confusing sometimes. Anyway, we went for lunch and to get there we needed to ride on the back of dtra's cuz's scooter, which was pretty fun :). We also did a little shopping at the market, well, dtra did anyway. I think I was a bit overwhelmed with the craziness. Also me and ozzy got dragged into the little shops by the girls wanting to sell us stuff which was pretty full on. Later that night we agreed to meet up with dtra's cuz for tennis but we got in a taxi which took us to the wrong spot, which dtra's cousin wasn't too happy about :O. When we got there ozzy played some tennis and got absolutely killed... we'll blame the heat :D. I don't think ozzy had much fun. And then after that we went to a pool joint where I dominated at 9 ball. Ozzy and dtra got drunk off two tiger beers and dtra even crashed into the door on the way out. We were all pretty tired by then as it had been a long day so we called it a night.
