These are the final photos from my South East Asia holiday. We finished off the trip in Koh Phangan. The beach where we stayed was very quiet and there wasn't much to do, so we just relaxed for a few days. :)

Bungy Bungy - November 2006

I was looking through a brochure on what to do in Koh Samui and saw bungy jumping. I said to dtra "hey we should go bungy jumping" (I was joking). But dtra liked the idea and so we both did it. I'll link to a video of me jumping later.

Muay Thai Muay Thai - November 2006

Leaving Bangkok and ozzy behind, dtra and I continued on to Koh Samui. The beach there was really good (didn't get any pics for some reason :S). On our second night we went and watched some Muay Thai which was... interesting. ;)

Tiger Temple Tiger Temple - November 2006

We visited the Tiger Temple and got to pat the tigers... they're so awesome! The monks are planning a new enclosure which will be better for the tigers because at the moment they are all chained up. :(

River Kwai River Kwai - November 2006

With our Geckos tour over, we took a day trip to the Tiger Temple. On the way we stopped at the World War II cemetery and the Bridge over the River Kwai.

The Grand Palace The Grand Palace - November 2006

We are now in Thailand! We visited the palace where they have some pretty spectacular buildings, covered in gold. Me and dtra were wearing shorts so we had to get changed into some funny pants.

Boat Trip Boat Trip - October 2006

We rode by boat most of the way from Siem Reap to Battambang, our final stop in Cambodia. We sat on the roof of the boat and spent most of our time waving to the locals. :)

Last Temples Last Temples - October 2006

Our last two temples, Banteay Samre and Pre Rup. Banteay Samre was a small, quiet temple but the sun was getting quite low in the sky and the light shining through the temple looked really good.

Banteay Srei Banteay Srei - October 2006

About 20km out of Angkor is Banteay Srei. It has some extremely detailed doorways and it was well worth the trip. I also bought a book about Angkor from some guy for $4.50... and it hasn't fallen apart yet. :)

Another Day, Another Temple Another Day, Another Temple - October 2006

We decided to visit some more temples on our free day in Siep Reap. We hired some tuk tuks headed north-east, firstly to Preah Khan and Ta Som.

Angkor Wat Angkor Wat - October 2006

To finish off our big day of temple viewing we visited Angkor Wat, the biggest temple in the world. We got a heap of photos, bought some paintings, and watched the sun set from the towers.

The Bayon The Bayon - October 2006

We visited the Bayon temple next. It's such an awesome temple with heaps of multi-face towers. There are also some very detailed carvings on its walls.

Temples! Temples! - October 2006

We've got a full day of temples lined up for today. First, Ta Prohm, the jungle temple, where huge trees have grown over the temple. Then over to Ta Keo for a couple of quick snaps then off to the elephant and leper king terraces.

After arriving in Siem Reap and doing a bit of shopping at the markets we went to watch the sun set from Phnom Bakheng.

Leaving Phnom Penh and on the way to Siem Reap we stopped at a small town where the local delicacy is fried tarantulas.

After our trip to the killing fields we visited the royal palace in Phnom Penh and then took a boat trip to watch the sun set over the palace.

We are now in Cambodia where which we will spend the most time of our Geckos tour. We visited the Choeung Ek killing fields and genocide museum. Both very sad places.

In the next few days we visited the war remnants museum and reunification palace on our own and as part of our Geckos tour we visited the Cu Chi tunnels.

Mekong Delta Mekong Delta - October 2006

First photos from Vietnam. We went on a day trip to the Mekong Delta which cost us $6 each. Cheap!

Went to Willie Creek in the morning, the water was an awesome colour so that was cool... didn't see any crocs though :(. Later we watched the sun set at Gantheaume Point.

We've started a bit of a biweekly photography challenge at work, where we have to take photos of a certain topic. This fortnight's topic is "Red" and here are my results. I took these photos on my way to the shops to buy some rolls.

Took Locky out for a walk today and decided to bring my camera as well. We walked down along the railway tracks before looping around to come back home.

Left the car at Ringwood East station on Friday night. So walked there the next morning to pick it up. I took Locky along for the adventure. Hopefully the car will have survived the night!
